I received this email from a woman who is using The Positive Portions Food & Fitness Journal and wanted to share it. Lori’s email testifies to the power of writing down one’s food and the need for the daily inspiration that the journal provides.

Hi Shannon,

My friend, Diane S., gave me a copy of Positive Portions. It has been a true blessing to me on my weight loss journey. I’ve come to the point that freedom from remorse of overeating is just as or more important to me than losing my “false comfort coat.” You like that?

I’m on day 22 of my journal and I really look forward to reading and writing in it every morning. It has become an essential part of my routine.

I didn’t chose to plan my food for the day on Easter and have been having a hard time getting back on track, but the journal (I feel like it’s a friend) has helped me not “throw in the towel” which is my usual m.o.
